MASSAGE BY GI: HEALING INSPIRED BY YOGA

Gi Pamperien, RN, LMT is trained and experienced in a wide variety of healing bodywork modalities, from traditional/Swedish massage to Thai massage and Shiatsu; from western medical to eastern metaphysical traditions. He has been trained by the United Centers for Spiritual Living as a professional Practitioner. His signature style blends his many levels and years of expertise into a unique healing experience tailored to each client’s individual needs. From the ancient, Vedic traditions of yoga, Gi incorporates the principles of deep inner reflection, bodily alignment and breath to balance the body with the mind and soul. Gi has attended the Finger Lakes School of Massage and diverse programs of study.

Some of the specific modalities Gi may incorporate in a session might include:

  1. Connective Tissue Therapy: A deep, yet soothing technique for relieving tightness and areas of deep pain;

  2. Neuromuscular Therapy: Triger point therapy for “knots” which often lead to extensive, referred pain into other parts of the body;

  3. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy: A modality which treats disturbances deep within the nervous system;

  4. Thai, Shiatsu, Asian Fusion: Based on ancient Asian bodywork practices that work with the body’s energy channels, or meridians, with massage and yoga-like stretches. A whole being approach to body-based healing;

  5. Reflexology: Gentle to deep pressure on energy points of the feet that can affect the entire body and bring deep relaxation;

  6. Swedish/European, “traditional” massage: a variety of techniques designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones in order to increase the flow of oxygen in the blood and release toxins from the muscles;

  7. Prenatal massage: Drawing upon specific training and years within the established health care environment, Gi offers a soothing, comforting experience for mothers-to-be;

  8. Spiritual Mind Treatment: From the writings of Ernest Holmes, "the Science of Mind," this is a complete, practical and spiritually based approach to living which is solely contained within the individual, incorporating one's most basic and Universal nature;

  9. Energy Healing: Based in the ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition of the Tonglen, this approach, again, calls upon the individual's deepest connection to the scientific basis of life to balance the whole being in health and happiness;

  10. Kripalu Yoga: Based on the life and teachings of Swami Kripalu and Yogi Desai, this tradition of yoga incorporates the principles of movement, mantra, breath and meditation accentuating personal needs and individuallity.

A session with Gi is a complete and wholly ingrossing adventure into one's individuallity and personal potential.
